Clare Dunne

Welcome to the website of Clare Dunne, professional actor. 

Born in Dublin in 1985, Clare is a graduate of the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.

Clare played the leading role of Pegeen Mike in Druid Theatre Company's acclaimed production of Playboy of the Western World, directed by Garry Hynes, which toured Ireland and the UK in 2009.

Also in 2009 she wrote, directed, and starred in  'Living With Missy', staged in Dublin's Smock Alley Theatre.

More recently Clare  starred in Chekhov's Three Sisters directed by Sean Holmes and Filter which played in The Lyric Theatre, Hammersmith and went on a national UK Tour.

Later in 2010 Clare will appear as Susie Monican in The Silver Tassie by Sean O’Casey, directed by Garry Hynes for Druid Theatre Company.

This is the show Clare wrote and performed herself in December 2009. Other members of the cast were Kevin Cummins and Oisin Feeney. The technical director was Chris Donoghue.
